Home Learning Ideas
The staff at Thornwell Primary School have collected a selection of ideas and links to keep your child's minds active and engaged in an enjoyable and educational way. A number of activities are online but there are many rich learning opportunities that do not require access to ICT and can help your child develop along the lines of 4 purposes of the New Curriculum, to support our children and young people to be:
-
ambitious, capable learners ready to learn throughout their lives
-
enterprising, creative contributors, ready to play a full part in life and work
-
ethical, informed citizens of Wales and the world
-
healthy, confident individuals, ready to lead fulfilling lives as valued members of society.
We would like to add to these pages regularly, so any further suggestions would be welcomed.
Now that we are able to venture outside a little more, here are some websites with ideas for outdoor activities you could do in your garden, local area and on your daily exercise walk.
